Hi, all!.  Hope you are well.  The time for our second quarterly meeting is approaching.  This will be one that you definitely don't want to miss as we will have timely and valuable presentations. David Stymiest will inform us of changes coming as a result CMS adopting the 2012 edition of the Life Safety Code (at long last).  David is a Senior Consultant for Smith, Seckman, Reid, Inc., who are widely recognized for their work in the healthcare field and David is an excellent instructor.  You would have to pay hundreds of dollars to attend seminars by SSR or other consulting firms and get the information that David will be providing. 

Another of our dedicated business partners, Guarantee Restoration Services will present an interesting and often over-looked topic  that we may all need at some time - what is the proper way to have various types of ventilation and duct systems cleaned.  Shawn Folkes will discuss industry standards, specifications and best practices for duct cleaning, sanitizing and sealing.

At this meeting, we will hold elections for society officers.  You will meet the candidates in the morning and vote in the election after lunch.  You must be a current, paid member to vote in the election.

We have rolled out our new website @ www.lashfm.org.  Our society is growing and we need this improved tool to help us manage our membership and meetings. One feature we will begin to use for this meeting is online meeting registration.  We are asking that you go to the website and resister for the meeting.  Meetings are still free for members. The website will allow you to register, provided that you are a current, paid member. If you haven't yet joined or renewed your membership, you can do so securely via PayPal at the website, or follow the instructions for how to pay by check.  Once your membership is current, you can click the 'Meetings' tab and register for the event.   Your nametag will be generated and ready for you when you arrive at the meeting.  Contact us if you have difficulty renewing or registering.
